In the distribution network, grounding fault through tree is a common type of single-phase grounding fault, and it is a developmental fault whose fault characteristics will change over time. Sequenced faults are also developmental faults, evolving from single-phase ground faults to two-point ground faults. This article analyzes the specific changes in electrical quantities during the development of two types of faults through simulation, and compares their similarities and differences, providing support for the identification between the two types of faults.
