IoT based Truck Monitoring System in Coal Mines

The mining industry is one of the labor intensive industries, which contribute substantially to the GDP of the nation. The minerals like Coal are transported to the warehouse predominantly using the roadways. Due to large influence of labors, the main problem faced by this industry is the Dishonesty or the greed of some workers. This leads to overfilling of container or the truck with the coal or other mineral, and then selling the extra quantity illegally for own profit. This results into significant economic loss of government. Also overfilling the truck can lead to fatal road accidents thus causing loss of life. To tackle this issue proposal of a truck monitoring system which keeps the track of weight loaded in the truck has been made. Also one can keep track on the live location of the truck remotely. Thus the problems stated above can be minimized and the whole process of transportation can be made transparent.
