Study of the Noise Level in an Ice Cream Factory Working Environment

The noise exposure of workers in industrial halls is mainly due to noisy equipment whose acoustic characteristics are known. The category of workers who are near the equipment are the most exposed to noise. High noise levels can have negative effects on people. Sounds below or at the hearing threshold can cause stress to subjects in different environments who cannot receive the message of communication. At the same time, sounds with a high level of intensity can cause long-term damage to the human body depending on the time and intensity of the noise it has been subjected to, both indoors and in landscaped open spaces. The paper analyzes the level of noise generated by the operation of the equipment at the company that produces ice cream. The unit is in the city of Bacau and has a production area with several types of equipment. Measurements were made of the noise level generated by the production equipment in the company’s two halls, the production hall and the packaging hall. According to the results obtained, it can be concluded that the noise level values recorded in the evaluated working environment do not exceed the maximum allowed values.
