Fake Profile Detection on Social sites

In the present day, social networking has become a vital part of our daily lives. It has significantly shaped our lifestyle, with online platforms and social networking websites playing a crucial role. These platforms have made it incredibly convenient to make friends and stay connected with people. However, amidst these remarkable advancements, issues related to fraudulent accounts and online deception have become more prominent. In our project, we’ve developed a framework that allows us to distinguish between genuine and fake profiles on these social networks. To achieve this, we’ve used a variety of classification techniques, such as Random Forest, Support Vector Machines, and Artificial Neural Networks, to categorize these accounts as either real or fake. This framework can be incredibly valuable for online social networks that have millions of profiles to manage. It’s especially useful because it automates the process of detection, eliminating the need for manual examination of each profile. This innovation can greatly enhance the security and trustworthiness of online social communities.
