Automation of Hydroponics Using IOT

In modern day agriculture, high yielding and high grade of the crops are essential, and this can be achieved by smart farming technology which is used for making farms more intelligent in sensing its controlling parameters. The main fiddling task was monitoring the plants manually which was in enactment because the plants may die out if proper care is not taken. The architecture of hydroponic systems is fully automatic that can be integrated into agricultural curriculum while introducing business skills. Hydroponic systems is nothing but growing plants in water without soil with the aid of extended nourishing solution. The automatic monitoring and control of the environmental events such as light intensity, pH, moisture level of the plant, surrounding temperature and the relative humidity is carried out by loading sensors and actuators onto the system. Basically, hydroponic system requires temperature range between 18°-26°C (60-85°F). The maintenance and automatic monitoring are done by the intervention of the IOT that are used to transfer and retrieve the data to internet(mass storage) and a mobile application is used to communicate the current status of the hydroponic system to the user through the use of internet to their mobile phones.
