Design and Development of Low-Cost Mechanical Ventilator with Remote Patient Monitoring

In the last few years, there has been a huge development in the health sector. But still, there are many villages and small areas that lack proper facilities for treatment. From the survey, it is observed that people living in these areas face a lot more health issues than people in urban areas. During COVID times people faced a lot of difficulties to get proper treatment. Even people with normal flue, primary breathing problems, and other common diseases couldn't get proper treatment because of no proper recommendations from doctors. There was even a shortage of beds and ventilators. Keeping all this in mind we designed a compact model based on IOT with 4 physiological parameters pulse rate, temperature, oxygen level, and blood pressure which can be measured in one model, also provides oxygen for people with low SpO2. It is affordable for everyone, making it cost-effective, reliable, and easy for people to operate. There is one more feature for people to get assistance from the doctors. 4 sensors are used to get the values from 4 parameters sent to the webserver with the help of raspberry pi. In the web server, a medical expert with a login Id and password can monitor and assist if required. This work provides a realtime solution so as soon as a person measure any of the 4 parameters, it is displayed on the admin's screen to visualize.
