Intelligent Management of Harmonic Distortions in the Electrical Network Caused by Modern LED Lighting Systems

As the use of LED lighting and other energy-efficient technologies increases, lighting-induced harmonics are becoming an increasingly significant problem for electrical systems. They are non-linear components in the electrical grid that generate additional electrical signals at frequencies that are multiples of the main grid frequency. These additional signals can lead to energy losses, overheating and disturbances in the electrical network. The purpose of this report is to present the importance of intelligently managing the harmonics induced by lighting systems and how the use of artificial intelligence can improve the quality of electrical energy in such systems. Intelligent lighting control systems use advanced algorithms and technologies that allow efficient control and reduction of the impact of harmonics in the electrical network. The use of artificial intelligence in these systems leads to more efficient use of electrical energy and a reduction in harm to electrical systems resulting from harmonics.
