The Decisions Support System to Form a Wind-Diesel Power System for a Standalone Consumer Using a Cost-Efficiency Criterion

This paper deals with the developed decisions support system for the formation of a hybrid wind-diesel power system that takes into account functional, economic, operational and environmental efficiency criteria for a standalone consumer. The performance indicators and the optimal parameters of the system intended for its operation in the city of Anadyr, Chukotka district of Russian Federation, calculated using this decisions support system, are presented. The obtained numerical results confirmed the workability of the developed software that implements the given decision support system, and also demonstrated the relevance of introduced performance indicators that have been taken into consideration while forming the system by a power consumer's request. The developed decision support system prototype can be used by energy companies after the database supplementation with the reliable information of wind parameters for specified country regions and characteristics of the wind-diesel power system components available at the market.
