Integration of License Plate Detection and Recognition with GPS Implementation to a Moving Vehicle for Traffic and Activity Monitoring

Vehicular monitoring has always been about proper surveillance and efficient maintenance when it comes to implementing orders and regulations for motorists to follow. The goal is to effectively provide ways to manage movement and detect violations. However, motorists have found loopholes to get past these regulations and authorities have found it difficult to manage the maintenance manually. With this in mind, the researchers came up with the idea of creating a system to efficiently detect and create a status update of the license plates of vehicles provided by a video feed from a moving vehicle. The system is programmed to identify license plates details, dimensions, location and even the distance from the camera to the tagged vehicle. With a great desire to utilize technology to provide efficient work, the researchers strive to develop and implement this system to improve and sustain vehicular monitoring here in our country.
