Equilibrium Control of Complex Dynamical Networks with Hybrid Pinning Coupling

A complex network may be pinned to an equilibrium point by adding feedback controllers to few nodes, which uses the interaction between adjacent nodes. However, when the variable of the isolated node’s dynamics is more than one, the network may use the connection in its all variables to make the network achieve an equilibrium point. This may bring heavy communication burden with the increase of the network size and complexity of network topology. To address this problem, a hybrid pinning coupling strategy is proposed to enable a complex dynamical network achieve an equilibrium point. In the approach, one random selected variable of each node interacts with its whole neighbors, and the other variables of the node interact with that of only one randomly neighbor node. Experiments show that the effectiveness of the proposed strategy.
