A Posteriori Error Estimators for Quantity of Interest in Eddy Current-Based Non-Destructive Testings

The accuracy of finite element simulations for eddy current-based non-destructive testing is impeded by numerical errors associated with the mesh. This study introduces a goal-oriented error estimate for eddy current problems, specifically focusing on the quantity of interest. A more practical interpretation is provided, and numerical examples illustrate the potential applications of the proposed estimator.
