A Review on Existed Algorithm for Battery Optimization Consumption Power in Internet of Things Technology

Internet of things (IoT) application is currently has been used widely in various domain such as agriculture, transportation, tourism, etc. One of the components in IoT is battery to establish and allow data transmission via the network. Battery Management System (BMS) is used to monitor and control battery usage. Lithium-ion battery is most currently used by IoT device because of high energy density, high power density, high cell voltage, etc. However, one of the issues related to IoT is battery consumption power. The most important in controlling battery consumption power is to measure capacity and power of the battery. This paper will be reviewed methods have been used to estimate battery capacity and power. The purpose of this paper is finding a most suitable method can be used to improve the battery consumption. The result is indicating two findings which are capacity estimation method and state of charge estimation method. Based on these findings, a suitable method can used to improve battery consumption during data transmission via network.
