Bidirectional Droop Control for the Hybrid AC/DC Microgrid with no Steady-State Deviation

This paper presents a novel bidirectional droop control scheme designed for Interlinking Converter (ILC) in a hybrid AC/DC microgrid, offering enhanced stability and eliminating steady-state deviation. The mathematical models for the bidirectional AC/DC converter and the control algorithm are developed, and their performance is rigorously evaluated through simulations using PSCAD/EMTDC. The results demonstrate robust stability, rapid response to dynamic conditions, and successful elimination of steady-state deviation. The bidirectional droop control outperforms conventional strategies, positioning it as an advanced approach for decentralized microgrid control. The findings have practical implications for improving reliability and efficiency in microgrid applications, signaling a significant step forward in microgrid control strategies.
