A Novel Adaptive Current-Mode One-Cycle Control for Improving High-Voltage-Gain Power Converter Performance

Adaptive current-mode control is well known as robust load disturbance resistance and one-cycle control is known for its tolerance to input disturbance. Combining these strategies' advantages, a novel control method is proposed, named adaptive current-mode one-cycle control. It aims to overcome the control lag and maintain the compact controller design of the high-voltage-gain non-minimum phase converter whose are easily affected by external factors such as the external environment and internal parameter changes, resulting in decreased system response speed, and control system performance. As a typical study, the proposed adaptive current-mode one-cycle control is applied to an IS4L-Boost converter. The system analysis is given under input disturbances, load complexity, and unpredictability. Also, the simulation result is provided to show the effectiveness of the proposed controller.
