An Ultrathin, Rapidly Fabricated, Flexible Giant Magnetoresistive Electronic Skin

In recent years, there has been a significant increase in the prevalence of electronic wearables, among which flexible magneto-electronic skin has emerged as a key component, which has opened a new avenue in human perceptual development: magnetic sense. In this paper, a novel type of magneto-electronic touchless interactive electronics that utilizes a flexible giant magnetoresistive sensor array sensitive to weak magnetic fields is demonstrated. The flexible magnetic sensor array has been developed through an electrochemical delamination process. The flexible magnetic sensor is capable of achieving a bending angle of up to 90 degrees, maintaining its performance integrity even after multiple repetitive bending cycles. Our research also encompasses demonstrations of non-contact interaction and pressure sensing, presenting novel findings in these areas.
