A Review on Traffic Engineering Systems in Software-defined Networks using Routing Mechanisms

In the last few decades, the usage of online routing platforms for vehicle transportation has gained importance in vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs), Software-Defined Networks (SDN), Internet of Things (IoT), and Mobile Ad hoc networks (MANETs). At the same time, its usefulness in addressing urban transportation issues is debatable. Corporate networking connections and Broadband resource suppliers are expanding and changing quickly these days, and to serve these challenging applications, network management processes are becoming more complicated. Sophisticated Traffic Engineering settings make standard Internet Protocol networks difficult to operate. Increasingly configurable, adaptable, and adaptable options are being sought after by businesses and Internet Service providers (ISPs) to meet the ever-evolving need for assisting challenging requirements. In this work, a review of traffic engineering systems using routing mechanisms was conducted. In a networked environment, traffic engineering can lessen service deterioration and connection loss. Many efforts have been made by research groups to develop techniques for conventional networking topologies that enable the network’s infrastructure to adjust to alterations in congestion flows. The study of the several latest techniques for Software-Defined Network (SDN) traffic engineering is the primary emphasis of this research. Its primary focus is on classic network design approaches, along with an examination of the difficulties associated with their execution and potential applications in the coming decades.
