Design of 2.4 GHz ISM Band Implantable Antenna for Biotelemetry

The regular functionality of failing body parts of patients is greatly enhanced by bio-implants. These days, numerous innovative ways are being developed for biotelemetric requirements. Biocompatible antennas are the major components for such biotelemetry applications including continuous powering of implants. This work proposes the design of implantable antenna with the size miniaturized to (20.2x14.5) $\mathrm{mm}^{2}$. It has been simulated with the resonating frequency of 2.4GHz band to meet the better gain level of -26.1 dBi and return loss of about $-27 \mathrm{~dB}$. With the allowable SAR limits, the suggested antenna has been validated by using muscular tissue mimic phantom.
