Researching Effective Systems and Methods for Detecting Drowsiness

Automobiles occupy a key place in modern society, being an important part of the economy and the daily lives of many people. Road safety is a top priority for the whole world, especially in the context of the rapid development of the automotive industry. Modern artificial intelligence and data analysis technologies open new opportunities in research and evaluation of drivers’ driving condition. The study will provide information on existing methods of determining driver drowsiness, problems and what improvements need to be made. The objective of the research is to develop a software tool that will be able to detect driver drowsiness based on camera-based facial monitoring by analyzing mouth movements and eyelid blinking movements.
