Analysis and Study of Key Parameters of Low Recoil Swallowtail Bus-Bar

As a key component in the study of electromagnetic launch technology, the bus-bar unit has an important impact on the pulse current splitting and equalization in the process of electromagnetic launch, as well as the recoil force of electromagnetic launch. The swallowtail bus-bar unit, as a new structure of the bus-bar research, has the feature of low recoil, but there is little research on the influence of structural parameters of the swallowtail bus-bar (angle
$\theta $
, spacing H) on the recoil, in order to effectively reduce the recoil of the swallowtail bus-bar and provide low recoil structural parameters for the design of the swallowtail bus-bar. In this article, based on the electromagnetic field theory, we establish the swallowtail bus-bar structure with different
$\theta $
angle (
${\mathrm {0^{\circ }}}\le \theta \le {\mathrm {180^{\circ }}}$
), obtain the optimal
$\theta $
angle (
$\theta ={\mathrm {55^{\circ }}}$
) of the swallowtail bus-bar structure through simulation analysis, and construct the 3-D model of the swallowtail bus-bar with different distance H (
$30\le H\le 90~\mathrm {mm}$
) based on this
$\theta $
angle, analyze and calculate the electromagnetic force distribution law of different distance of the optimal
$\theta $
angle swallowtail bus-bar, and obtain the optimal distance (
$H = 40 ~\mathrm { mm}$
) under low recoil conditions by combining the static friction coefficient (
$\mu =0.3$
). In order to effectively verify the rationality of the structural parameters of the swallowtail bus-bar, a recoil force verification test was conducted using the optimal structural parameters swallowtail bus-bar test device. The test results show that the maximum recoil test results are greater than the simulation calculation results, so based on the test data, the simulation calculation error is controlled within 20% by correcting the static friction coefficient (
$\mu _{\mathrm {Amend}} = 0.32$
), which increases the accuracy of the recoil simulation calculation and provides key parameters and design methods for the design of low recoil swallowtail bus-bar structure, which is conducive to improving the lightweight design of the bus-bar.
