A novel approach to data hiding using high payload capacity

Steganography is the technique of cover writing. This process allows the messages to hide inside the files, including pictures, drawings, images (JPG, GIF, BMP), and sounds. Steganography hides the data so the intruder cannot easily detect it as an encrypted message. In the proposed technique, high embedding capacity and security issues of text steganography have been considered by applying the Hill Cipher technique for data encryption and an LSB-based approach to data hiding inside the image. In this paper, we design a hybrid method that uses cryptography and steganography features. This technique will be more secure and have a high capacity, almost three times the least significant digit. Peak Signal verifies the quality of an image using the Noise Ratio (PSNR), mean Square Error (MSE), and Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) technique. A good picture means a high PSNR value and a low MSE value. PSNR is measured in decibels (dB). It is observed that the proposed approach has a high-security level and more data-hiding capacity.
