The Study of Cerebral Blood Arteries in Three Dimensions Using an Optimization Technique Based on Relative Position Data

For the three-dimensional reconstruction of CT cerebrovascular medical image registration, an optimization technique based on the relative position data of each vessel contour in the image is recommended. The idea that the centre of gravity of the vascular tissue structure on a succession of slices has continuity is used to find the registration connection between the blood vessel outlines in two adjacent slices. The cerebral vessels' centre of gravity deviates somewhat from their geometric centre because of the relative symmetry of their outline form. The geometric centre therefore replaces the centre of gravity in order to perform the registration of the blood vessel contour, and they” quality” of each contour is assessed based on the area of each contour. This method offers an efficient preoperative simulation for cerebrovascular interventional surgery. Its advantages include global optimization, strong robustness, and more accurate cerebral vascular pictures that may be used for study later on, simulation training, and software import.
