Ensuring Resilience:Iot-Driven Fault Detection in Fiber Optic Networks

With the advent of fiber optic networks, high-speed data transfer across extended distances has become increasingly important in today’s communication infrastructure. But maintaining the dependability and continuous functioning of these networks is not so easy, especially when it comes to identifying and resolving potential issues with the complex fiber optic infrastructure. Within this framework, real-time monitoring and problem detection in fiber optic cables have shown great promise for the integration of Internet of Things (IoT) technology. In order to continuously evaluate the functionality and state of the fiber optic infrastructure, this study suggests an Internet of Things (IoT) based fiber optic fault detection system that makes use of a network of sensors and monitoring devices. The suggested method minimizes network downtime and ensures the smooth functioning of fiber optic networks by providing proactive defect identification through real-time data collection and analysis.
