Optimization Scheduling of Multi-source Microgrids Considering Economic and Environmental Impacts

As an important part of the energy Internet, the optimal scheduling of microgrid has always been a great concern, especially under penetration of multiple sources, its energy management faces opportunities and challenges. Considering both economic and environmental impacts, the output of each power generation unit based on real-time electricity demand is calculated, with the goal of best compromise between power generation costs and pollutant emissions. To improve convergence, an elitism genetic algorithm with the elite reproduction strategy is adopted. Simulation verification is conducted via a certain microgrid in residential area, and the results show that energy conservation and emission reduction can be achieved through appropriate power planning of generation components (time of use price mechanism: generation cost is ¥ 191.28, environmental cost is ¥ 40.26; while fixed price mechanism: generation cost is ¥ 197.10, environmental cost is ¥ 34.43). The rationality and feasibility of the control strategy is proved, which can promote the economic, environmental, and reliable operation of the microgrid system.
