A Study on the Performances of Solar PV System based on Single and Double Mirroring Reflection Techniques

Solar photovoltaic (PV) energy is one of the world’s most promising and rapidly developing renewable energy sources. The variation in solar irradiation during the day influences how much power solar PV systems can generate. This research proposes single and double-reflection mirror techniques to improve the performance of a solar PV system. The system has been tested at three different tilt angles, specifically 30°, 45°, and 60°. The results show that double reflection mirror technology produces more output power (632.86mW) than single-reflection mirror technology (602.85mW) with an improvement of 4.7%. In this paper, a basic principle of solar PV system is presented and the effectiveness of adopting single and double reflection mirrors has been validated by experimental studies.
