Study of Class E Inverter for Induction Heating in High Temperature

This paper investigates the effects of parameter changes on a class E inverter used for heating by induction in applications that require high temperatures. To test, vary the input voltage between 25 and 225 volts. The inverter is accomplished with IGBT switching. The loss of single IGBT switch reduced by switching of the single IGBT switch turn on within zero voltage switch. The frequency at which switching occurs of the inverter can be changed to alter the output power. Throughout the heating process, the testing unit, which has a 5-7 kHz working frequency range and is rated at around 1000W, is evaluated under load-parameter fluctuation. The study delves into single-switch functioning concepts, with simulation and experimental outcomes providing validation.
