Performance Analysis of 5G OFDM Frame Synchronization with Various Channel Conditions

This work presents a performance analysis of 5G OFDM frame time synchronization across diverse channel conditions. The research scrutinizes the impact of varying channel impairments, which are caused by multipath fading, and carrier frequency offsets (CFO), on the synchronization process. According to 5G standard, the primary synchronization signal (PSS) is used, which is distinguishable receiver, allowing it to correlate the received signal with the expected pattern and identify the correct timing offset for synchronization. The investigation quantifies synchronization error rates and pushes the boundaries of accuracy under realistic channel scenarios. The numerical simulations using MATLAB

shows that the estimated timing frame synchronization has a high tolerance to additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) and a Rayleigh communication channel and a CFO. Additionally, we propose that the system performance, such as MSE of the CFO and the BER comparison of the with various M-QAM order. Nevertheless, our proposed solution performs exceptionally well.
