Magnetic Field Simulation of Multiphase Wind Generator Using 3D Finite Element Method

This paper, a magnetic field mathematical model is presented in a multiphase generator designed with two different stator winding configurations: 3 -phase and 6 -phase, both designs have same specifications in other aspects, including a 6-pole rotor, 36 slots, and double-layer winding. The aim is to analyze and compare the distribution of magnetic field, electric power, and electric current generated by both designs under ideal conditions, using the 3D finite element method. The results of the simulation could be explained that increasing the number of stator winding sets in the generator could increase the radial magnetic field, and tangential magnetic field, also increase the electrical power output of the generator.
