The PI Control for a Boost Derived Hybrid Converter to Supply DC and AC Loads

The PI controller designed for a boost derived hybrid converter (BDHC) is proposed in this paper. The DC and AC output voltages can be effectively controlled in both transient and steady states. The parameter gains of the PI controller are calculated using a mathematical model of the simple boost converter. Both DC and AC loads are fed by the desired voltage levels generated by BDHC with the PI controller in voltage and current loops. The simulation results certify that the designed PI controller provides the effective performance of both output voltages in a wide range of operating variations.
