Intelligent Distribution Systems and Grid Integration of Renewable Energy Resources

In the upcoming years, smart distribution systems will efficiently manage electricity supplied from varied sources, including solar and wind. This guarantees a dependable and smooth integration for both business and residential buildings. This abstract explores the power flow regulation and grid synchronization difficulties faced by Smart Distribution Systems (SDS). The system actively monitors dispersed energy supplies to ensure stability through the use of Advanced Control and Monitoring and Digital Signal Processor (DSP) programming. Connection of renewable energy sources (RES) and power system configuration synchronization are made possible by the use of Controller Area Network (CANBUS), a customized connection that resembles a parallel port. In order to facilitate remote monitoring, the system has an Ethernet port and GSM communication. Furthermore, a viable harmonic mitigation strategy is put forth that successfully lowers the levels of Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) during the conversion of DC to AC in the integration of renewable energy sources. This helps to promote the use of renewable energy in the future.
