Optimization of Energy Scheduling for Zero-carbon Buildings by Considering the Flexibility of Demand-side Air Conditioning System

In the field of architecture, energy conservation and carbon reduction are crucial for achieving the goal of “peak carbon and carbon neutrality.” Zero-carbon building (ZCB) is the best embodiment of the concept of energy conservation and carbon reduction in architecture. However, the intermittent output of photovoltaics (PV) can affect the supply-demand balance and user experience of ZCBs. In response to the reliability and comfort requirements of ZCBs, this paper considers the energy storage characteristics of heat storage tank(HST), constructs an air conditioning (AC) model with HST, and proposes a low-energy consumption operation strategy for AC with HST. Furthermore, considering demand-side flexibility resources in buildings, an energy optimization scheduling model is established to ensure the supply-demand balance of ZCBs by controlling the operation status of battery energy storage systems (BESS) and AC. Simulation results of typical daily scenarios demonstrate that the optimization scheduling strategy for demand-side AC for ZCB systems can effectively improve the BESS charging and discharging requirements in the event of sudden weather changes, ensuring the thermal comfort of building occupants and validating the effectiveness of the strategy.
