Quantitative Assessment of Dispatching Mismatch and Analysis of the Influencing Factors

Power dispatching aims to balance the supply and demand in power system, and it provides a safe and reliable power supply for power system. The unsuitable accessing to the new energy and external power transmission usually causes extreme cases, and thus makes the mismatching of power dispatching. How to quantify the dispatching mismatch under different power curves, and how important the influencing factors of these curves to the dispatching mismatch are of interest to power system dispatchers. To address these questions, this paper first proposes a UC model considering relaxation variables in constraints, and by the solution of these relaxation variables, the dispatching mismatch can be quantitatively evaluated. Then, a learning method based on XGBoost is proposed to quantify the influence of each feature on dispatching mismatch by the fitting process. The case study is based on the practical data of power system in Chongqing, China. The result shows that proposed method can accurately quantitative the dispatching mismatch and the influencing factors in line with reality.
