Characterization of bilaminated cylindrical shell under oblique excitation: Effects of fluid filled cavity on resonances

Exploring acoustic scattering in a bilaminated cylindrical shell under oblique excitation aims to scrutinize the influence of fluids within the cavity on resonance phenomena. The analysis involves a SST/Pol cylindrical shell filled with different fluids in the cavity including air, water, glycerol, and chloroform. To compare different findings, we take the air-filled cylindrical shell as a reference. All cylindrical shells are immersed in water. The findings reveal that, in cases other than air filling, additional resonances emerge, distinctly identified through partial spectrum. Furthermore, the results demonstrate a noticeable shift of emerged resonances toward low frequencies as the density of the utilized fluids increases. This investigation provides valuable insights into the dynamic behaviour of bilaminated cylindrical shells, offering implications for diverse applications in engineering and acoustic design.
