Studying tne Frequence Dynamics of the Power System and Determining tne Constant Frequency Based on WAMS

The relevance of the work lies in the need to maintain the frequency of the power system in continuous mode. High sudden load in the system causes a volume imbalance, which in turn leads to a deviation from the nominal frequency. A frequency deviation of 0.2 Hz no longer meets the power quality requirements. Reducing the frequency is dangerous because it reduces the transmission speed of electric motors and the principles driving them, which causes a decrease in their productivity, a violation of the technological conditions of consumers and leads to defective variable products. Wide area measurement system (WAMS) allow real-time monitoring of the electrical parameters of the power system, including frequencies. Objective. Consider changing the frequency when an imbalance occurs, the method for determining a constant frequency. Perform analysis and calculation of constant frequency based on WAMS. Compose model functions and calculate the frequency constant, compare with the data from the initial calculation. METHODS. Was used the Fourier transform method, according to which we moved from the frequency function to its spectrum, which makes it possible to simply determine the frequency constant. RESULTS. The article describes the relevance of the topic and examines the dynamics of frequency behavior. The constant frequency was calculated using the WAMS data and compared with the constant frequency of the simulated functions. CONCLUSION. Using this method allows, in the presence of WAMS data, to determine the constant frequency, which allows us to understand how the system will behave if a power imbalance occurs.
