Design of Interactive Walkthrough System of Huizhou Style Architecture Based on 3D and VR Technology

With the development of virtual reality (VR) and 3D technology, there is a growing demand for immersive experiences. Huizhou architecture, as one of the representatives of traditional Chinese architecture, possesses unique artistic value and cultural significance. With the development of science and technology, virtual reality technology has been widely used in various fields, especially in the protection and display of cultural heritage. The application of VR technology provides people with a new way of experience. As an important part of traditional architecture in China, Huizhou architecture's unique artistic style and cultural connotation deserve our in-depth study and inheritance. This paper presents a method for designing an interactive roaming system for Huizhou architecture based on 3D and VR technology, aiming to provide users with an immersive touring experience of Huizhou architecture. Firstly, a comprehensive database of Huizhou architecture was established by collecting relevant information and real-life photos. Then, 3D modeling technology was utilized to digitally reconstruct Huizhou architecture, combined with VR technology to achieve interactive roaming. Finally, the effectiveness and feasibility of the system were validated through user surveys and experiments.
