Research and Application of High Precision Clamp Standard Sensor Based on Active Compensation Scheme

The operational reliability of clamp-shaped current sensors is a fundamental requirement for their application in online calibration systems. This paper addresses the challenges of low error acceptance rates and susceptibility to environmental influences when these sensors are used in the field. To mitigate these issues, the study explores three error compensation approaches: turns compensation, capacitance compensation, and multi-core parallel compensation. The paper introduces a development plan for a high-precision clamp-shaped sensor based on active compensation and successfully produces a high-precision open-loop current sensor. Experimental testing of the prototype is conducted under various load conditions and degrees of eccentricity. The experimental results confirm that the designed high-precision sensor consistently meets the accuracy requirements of a 0.05 class current transformer under a variety of real-world operating conditions.
