Smartphone Camera and Geometry Setting in Colorimetric Measurement for analyte detection

Smartphones play an important role for lab-based methods in low-cost and low-resource settings. However, smartphone-based colorimetry measurement suffers some problems i.e. geometry of the experiment and camera settings. In this study, we investigated the effect of these settings on colorimetric values. It was observed that “Hue” in HSV and “a”, ‘b’ in CIEL*a*b color space shows the least variation. Therefore, these settings should be taken into account to estimate colorimetry value correctly.
