Network Analysis of Attitude Scale toward E-Learning

The Attitude Scale toward E-Learning is a comprehensive tool comprising 20 items, divided into two distinct sub-dimensions: avoidance of e-learning (10 items) and tendency to e-learning (10 items). As e-learning gains global popularity, it is crucial for educators to explore how students perceive and embrace this learning method and to comprehend the intricate networks underlying students’ attitudes toward elearning. In this study, a network was analyzed using data derived from students enrolled in higher education institutions in Indonesia to study their attitudes toward e-learning. For the analysis, the Extended Bayesian Information Criterium was used for the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator to reveal the intricate network structure embedded in the scale. In addition, the efficacy of the psychological network was assessed using a validation process to affirm the precision of the edges within the network and check the stability of the network centrality index. The network was stratified based on demographic variables such as gender, age, and personal computer ownership. The method proposed in this study provided a graphical representation of students’ perceptions of e-learning implementation. The results provide educators with their e-learning strategies.
