Design of a 11kW Three-Phase Inductive Power Transfer System Based on DD2Q Coil Structure

Q coil structure for EV charging applications. Advantages of the system realized with the mentioned structure over other solutions are outlined. A system with power transfer capability of 11 kW at 250 mm clearance between transmitter and receiver sides has been designed and built according to the presented design procedure. Experimental data and validation of the proposed concept is given, showing overall efficiency of the system of 89.75% at 11.8 kW being transferred to the secondary, at 260 mm clearance.
