Optimal Electric Vehicle Charging Station Placement: A Multi-Criteria Decision-Making Approach for Site Selection

Increasing electric car use requires strategic placement of Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (EVCS) to meet demand and optimize resource use. This study uses TOPSIS to arrange electric vehicle charging stations. TOPSIS prioritizes key roadways, population density, accessibility, and environmental impact. TOPSIS compares sites fairly to ideal and anti-perfect solutions. This helps locate sustainable, demand-satisfying urban growth sites. This provides a more complete picture of the intricate interactions that determine EVCS placement. Environmentalists may prioritize environmental impact, whereas highly inhabited metropolitan regions may prioritize access. This study speeds up decision-making and improves EVCS site selection accuracy and dependability with TOPSIS. With the proposed technique, urban planners, policymakers, and industry stakeholders may make informed EV charging infrastructure decisions. As the world transitions to electric vehicles and sustainable transportation, charging station placement must be optimized. Higher Performance Score sites are displayed lower, emphasizing the selection process's performance importance. Performance Score was 1 for Location 3.
