Design and realisation of a construction robot applied to concrete vibration for box girders

The growth of industrial intelligence has led to greater automation in numerous sectors. As robots are becoming increasingly prevalent, companies must confront the essential matter of how to employ them to supplant manual labour, ultimately heightening productivity and efficiency. This paper outlines the development of an automated vibration robot comprising a vertical vibration robot cell, a rail-type inclined insertion vibration robot system, and other cells working in collaboration. This paper uses box girder vibration as the foundational framework and conducts field experiments with an automated vibration robot designed for this purpose. The measurements of concrete strength reveal that the automated vibrating robot meets industrial standards, thus verifying its capacity to perform large-scale construction vibration. The potential for substituting human labour with automated robots in large-scale vibration construction is showcased.
