Test research on accuracy of laser clearance and video clearance

With the widespread application of laser clearance lidar and video clearance monitoring system in wind turbine, the issue of the accuracy in clearance values has become increasingly prominent in wind turbine master-controlled clearance warning system. Based on the different principles of clearance value acquisition by these two types of clearance sensors, a validation scheme for the accuracy of wind turbine clearance values has been optimized and tested in a typical experimental area to assess the differences in clearance values caused by different clearance sensors. The results show that when the clearance values measured by ground-based laser lidar are taken as the actual clearance values, the average deviation of the nacelle laser clearance is -0.16m, while the average deviation of the nacelle video clearance is 1.02m. When the clearance values obtained by ground-based video cameras are taken as the actual clearance values, the average deviation of the nacelle laser clearance is -0.18m, while the average deviation of the nacelle video clearance is 0.85m, Compared with the nacelle video clearance monitoring system, the nacelle laser clearance lidar shows smaller deviations from the actual clearance values of wind turbine, thus demonstrating higher clearance measurement accuracy.
