Novel Energy Harvesting Method-Using Capacitance Inducing Voltage to Harvest Energy Under the Transmission Line

In response to the issues of existing energy harvesting devices being susceptible to weather conditions, complex installation, short lifespan, and high insulation requirements, this invention proposes a high-voltage transmission line energy harvesting method based on capacitor plate energy collection. This method effectively overcomes the drawbacks of existing energy harvesting devices and offers advantages such as stable power supply, environmental friendliness, and ease of operation. It is particularly suitable for powering online monitoring devices. Based on the principles of energy collection using capacitor plates, this invention analyzes the characteristics of energy collection with capacitor plates and designs the corresponding equivalent circuit. On this basis, a three-dimensional finite element calculation model is established to calculate the distribution characteristics of the electric field around the high-voltage transmission line. Since the effectiveness of energy collection is determined by the induced voltage, the model of this invention calculates the magnitude of the induced voltage on the capacitor plates and discusses the influence of capacitor plate size and position on the induced voltage. Finally, the size of energy collection is determined based on the magnitude of the induced voltage, thereby finding the optimal configuration of the capacitor plates to provide energy for the monitoring devices of the high-voltage transmission line.
