Integrate WBS and Forecast Task Completion in Construction Projects using Data Analytics

Managing a construction project is a complex challenge, with design changes, resource constraints, regulatory complexities, and weather uncertainties. Effective time and cost management are critical to project success. This article proposes the integration of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Task Completion Forecast using linear regression to manage project performance. The WBS enables thorough monitoring, allowing a weekly comparison between the plan and actual progress. Evaluation using a linear regression model shows strong performance with low error, moderate deviation, and a high percentage of explanation to predict task completion.
