Effect of Diamond-Like Carbon Morphology on Properties of DLC Reinforced Al2O3 Modified Epoxy Composites with High Thermal Conductivity

The research and development of epoxy resin insulation materials with high thermal conductivity is of great significance for the development of high-power power equipment. In this paper, by doping the DLC reinforced AhO3 filler into the epoxy resin, the thermal conductivity was effectively increased by up to 945% compared with that of pure epoxy resin. Furthermore, the interface characteristics formed between DLC films with different Sp3 hybrid rates and epoxy resin were further studied, and the influence of DLC morphological changes on the properties of epoxy composites was explored. The results show that with the decrease of Sp3 hybrid rate, the interface bond strength between DLC film and epoxy resin is improved. In addition, the thermal conductivity of epoxy composite is gradually increased, while the breakdown strength is gradually decreased. These results are of great significance for further understanding of the interface problem of epoxy resin-filler system, and provide a new idea and method for developing epoxy composites with excellent comprehensive properties.
