Power Losses Reduction in Distribution System Using PSO Algorithm

This research paper shows the minimization of power losses as well as to improve the voltage profile of the distribution system by using the reconfiguration of the network. Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is used to identify the optimal location of the switch for reconfiguration of the network. Different cases of reconfiguration of the network are considered to study the proposed algorithm for 33-bus! and 69bus networks. The result shows that the solution is converged fastly and efficiently.
