Variant Frequency Response of V-Shape Cantilever Beam Design for Low Power Energy Harvester Device

In the realm of low-power electronic devices, the predominant mode of operation often relies on batteries. Despite their ubiquitous usage, the disposal of these batteries poses a significant environmental concern, as it contribute to the release of toxic bio-hazards. In this paper, we designed a V-shape cantilever beam for low power Energy Harvester (EH) devices that operates on variant frequency response. In this design, we have used mechanical vibration for generating Resonant frequency. To perform this research work, the V-shape cantilever beam at different parameters of the lengths, widths & thicknesses has been simulated using COMSOL Multiphysics Software to achieve the optimum Resonant Frequency (RF) of 155.98 Hz. Considering the RF of 155.98 Hz, a Piezoelectric (PZT) material is tied with the designed V-shape cantilever beam together to generate millivolts (mV) into electrical energy from Vibration energy. Currently, the low voltage of the mV generation is being processed to be found at the PZT output terminal. An Ultra Low Power (ULP) EH circuit will be designed in LTSPICE using the obtained input of mV to get the expected and enhanced output microwatts (10 μW) for low power EH devices.
