Surface Field Information Retrieving Based on Space-Time Coding Metasurface

This paper proposes a surface field amplitude and phase information retrieving method based on space-time-coding metasurface. The surface field amplitude and phase information on the metasurface aperture is obtained by placing a single antenna behind the metasurface and applying adaptive filtering technique. A simulation considering a 2-bit metasurface and an oblique incident wave is performed, and the simulating results show that the proposed method can quickly obtain the surface field amplitude and phase information in real time and agree well with the expectation, which demonstrate the proposed surface field amplitude and phase information retrieving method.
