Moisture Content Estimation of Nanofluids using LFD of Real and Imaginary Parts of Complex Capacitance

This paper presents the estimation of moisture content of different nanofluids with Low Frequency Dispersion of real and imaginary parts of complex capacitance. For this purpose, nanofluids were prepared in the laboratory with mineral oil as base oil and TiO$_{2} or Al_{2}O_{3}$ nanoparticles. In recent times, condition of the insulating medium has been monitored employing polarization and depolarization current (PDC), return voltage measurements (RVM) and frequency domain spectroscopic (FDS) measurement. In this study, FDS measurement of the nanofluids has been conducted. From the FDS result, complex capacitance has been evaluated. Again the effect of moisture on the complex capacitance have been investigated. Moreover, LFD of real and imaginary parts of complex capacitance has been chosen to estimate the moisture content.
