Energy Management of Renewable Energy Sources with the Local Grid for EV Charging Stand

The demand for public Electric Vehicle charging stations is expected to increase due to government of India's policy for gain sales of electric vehicles. Therefore, it is crucial for EV charging businesses to maximize their profits by reducing their reliance on the local grid and exploring alternative power sources. This paper primarily focuses on the energy management of Hybrid renewable energy sources. The objective is to reduce grid power consumption, increase profits for charging station owners, and minimize greenhouse gas emissions. The proposed system is compared with a standalone grid-powered charging stand as a benchmark. The system is designed to charge 590 electric vehicles in a week. The city of Dwarka in Gujarat, India, has been chosen for the resources assessment. The modes of energy flow are mentioned based on generation and load. The system has been implemented in MATLAB, and results have been drawn and discussed.
