Exploring Maintenance focused Alliance Models: A Comprehensive Study of Commercial and Technical Alliance

Commercial or technological alliances seek to give all of their members a competitive edge over direct competitors. In the modern world, commercial alliances like Skyteam, One World, or Star Alliances are commonplace, but technological alliances find it difficult to garner followers, and this practice is still in its infancy. In this research, four models of joint maintenance alliances are put forth that are motivated by current, previous, or projected alliances. The study aims to develop four maintenance-focused alliance models. Eight expert interviews serve as the main discussion points for the eight theoretical models. These interviews, which are a component of the qualitative approach, seek to identify the benefits and limitations of each model. The eventual incorporation of all airline-specific parameters would be necessary for these models to be used in real-world situations.
